Kids Say The Darndest Things ~ Especially Your Own

Some kid things that are going on and being said around here. Yep, making me so proud (most of the time).

  1. I’m putting Ava to bed one night and she’s misbehaving. I talk really loudly at her to get her attention. She stops and looks at me “I’m not going to talk to you if you yell at me like that”.
  2. I am talking with someone and I hear Ava say to another friend, “I have to wait until my Mommy is talking before I can interrupt her”. Finally, it’s catching on!
  3. We are (slowly) potty training Travis. “Travis, don’t touch your penis”. “No, I need to touch it to make it bigger”.
  4. Ava was playing on her pretend phone when I over hear her urgently saying “Papa Paul, you better come get me quick!”. I have no idea what that conversation was about.

The gems they come up with. What have your little ones said lately that have you smirking?

  1. lol! I love the things kids say. Our whole family gets such a kick out of our youngest, but she's six now, and she's starting to get so sophisticated and talking more like an adult so we don't get those gems on a daily (or hourly) basis like we used to.

  2. That is too funny! It' so hard to keep a straight face when they come up with stuff life that. A few nights ago we were getting Evan ready for bed & he was squirming while my hubbs was changing his diaper so hubby jokingly said "stay still so I can clean your little pipi" and Evan blurted out "heyyyyy….my pipi isn't little. I have a monster truck pipi!!" We were laughing hysterically. I would've never in a million years have expected that to come out of his mouth. Gotta love their sense of humor!

  3. I love reading things kids say! My 4 year old great-granddaughter told me the other day with a lot hand movements "If you don't let me go first in Concentration, we've over – we're done!"

You have a cute blog and I'll be back. Have a blessed Sunday!!
