Christmas Table Runner

This table runner was found in a Quilter’s World magazine. I cut and sewed the tops for 3 of them in one weekend so I like that it was easy to create. The yellow stars in the center are appliqued.

When I top stitched them I chose not to stitch the stars. On the second one I did I did a small stipple in them and I prefer how that turned out.

The backing has gold thread through it and it’s beautiful. I used the binding method to leave 2″ extra wide all around and then just fold over and sew it. This way I only have one side of binding and I can machine sew it. Love this technique.
