Workin’ Out Wednesday ~ Running

We went away this past weekend to my in-laws. It was a nice weekend but this meant no running Saturday or Sunday (or Monday).

This week we are doing 7 sets of run
2 minutes, walk 1 minute.

Last night I realized it was already Tuesday and I had done nothing to meet this new goal so … I was waiting for Scott to finish at an appointment and decided to see how many sets I could get in while running on the spot.

I did 5 sets and was pretty proud of myself for taking advantage of the time and doing what I could. Probably not as good as actually running outside but way better than nothing.

I’m going to try for at least two more nights to fit in the practice runs this week.

Is this chocolate season killing anybody else’s fitness goals? What are you doing to not gain a gazillion pounds?

  1. Yeah, I’ve been very lazy with my fitness goals so far this year…

    Ironically, since I’ve gotten the new car, I’ve been going to the gym more. There’s a Goodlife on my way home, and I find I’m much more inclined to stop by there if I have my stuff in the car than I am to actually leave the house again once I get home to go to the one nearby. It’s really just around the corner, but it’s so hard to force myself out of the house again once I’m home!

    Good for you for stepping it up, though – you can do it! đŸ™‚

  2. another thing to do if you can’t get outside is to run stairs. i did that for training when i was with UW Cheerleading and it was a *hard* workout! you can mix straight running with hopping stairs too.
